more wolves gather, and Yarra observes each newcomer with conspicuous eyes, meeting the gaze of those who dare watch her back. it seems their merry little group has grown quite formidable, sporting a size large enough to challenge the smaller packs. perhaps one day soon, they’d take a permanent territory of their own, begin laying down the foundations of their glorious empire…as the group begin listing their strengths, Yarra tongues her top right canine, licking away imaginary traces of blood. oh, but how she craves the carnage of a real battle - none of this sitting around and marinating in their own brilliance. what good did blagging do in the heat of a real fight? when it comes her time to speak, the Saxe woman affects a lazy drawl, emphasising her impatience. “we must remember that many of our opponents have grown up here. they know the territories intimately, and have trained to utilise their environments to their advantage.” especially if they seek to raid packs; no doubt the northern wolves are more equipped for the cold than she is. “i must agree, however, with the lovely Absinth.” she shoots the fae a fond look - though this time she’s earnestly siding with her rather than simply flirting. hey, it’s not her fault so many of her own ideals align with Absi’s; clearly the fae isn’t just a pretty face, or whatever. “we waste time boasting; time that could be spent demonstrating our skills instead.” and if her idea of demonstration is a bit bloodier than most, but her smile says what her words do not. |
