They waited for the King to arrive, and she stood beside him, offering confidence and calming him at least a little. She whispered delicately into his ear, and it sent a shiver of thrill down his spine. He didn't know what to think of Renseme, he'd just met her but in some ways was enthralled. The way she alternately responded and seemed to brush him off altogether. He didn't know what to say or how to act, and found himself over thinking things and spitting out more information than necessary. She said to just say it and let it be, but that was hard. "O-kay."

She moved away shortly after, leaving him leaning absently into the space she had previously occupied, before jerking himself straight. How embarrassing. There wasn't very long to wait, and soon enough the G'kir was making his entrance. He looked different from any other wolf Solaris had ever met. An albino, he seemed inherently fragile, as though a rough enough hit would shatter him. But he carried himself with the tell tale signs of reign, his posture straight, steps confident.

He greeted Renesme, brushing his muzzle along the nape of her neck in a manner that seemed so intimate that he had to look away, his ears heating up. Didn't she say something about a Queen? Or had he imagined it? If there was no queen, was there an active search for one? He felt so foolish, bristling inwardly. Well, Isardis had proven his point, and by the time Solaris looked up, there was again only kindness in the twin suns that made up his gaze.

He had stopped shaking at this point, though he still appeared quite content, just more relaxed. The King's comment had been intended to come across as snide, he'd dealt with Astley's jabs enough to realize it. It just wasn't going to get to him, like so many other things. "My name is Solaris Lucerius, your highness," he introduced himself, finding the title so overblown on his tongue, and he was finding that he missed the titles of homelands. A man who called himself King, what was he really like?
