but it's better if you do

Seemed like luck was on his side this day. The man across the river turned out to be Seraphim, something of which he was glad of. It would've been a tad bit awkward if the other off white man would've turned out to be someone else. He appeared to be a good man, apparently having heard of him as well as he called back to him, calling him by his name. So his daughter had told Seraphim about him? That was a relief he supposed. They weren't complete strangers then. That I am. He called back across the raging water, mismatched gems intent on the man's figure as he moved farther down the bank to a section where there were several rocks strewn across the water, creating a type of bridge of sorts.
It wasn't long before Seraphim had crossed over the rocks and came over to Demonio's side of the bank, approaching him with a hearty smile. The ivory knight's own smile curled his pale jaws as he returned the dip of his skull in greeting. The pleasure is all mine. I do hope everything you've heard are good things. He chuckled. She is doing quite well. Growing up to be quite a fine young woman. I'm very proud of who she's becoming. Tell me, how exactly did you meet my daughter? I know it was before I adopted her, but as far as how she never explained. He hoped he wasn't being too forward.
