Gossamer dodged the brunt of Asla's attack and the older fae couldn't be more proud. Her teeth did scrape one dark shoulder, but it wouldn't be anything close to lasting damage. That wasn't what this raid was about. Even if it was, Asla wasn't sure that she could have brought herself to maim her sister. Gossamer had always been one of Asla's favorites.

With Goss' pivot, there left one clear attack that the larger wolf might decide upon as the quickest and most efficient. And so, Aslatiel dropped low, almost to her belly. Again her jaws opened and she pushed forward, mouth snapping at the woman's right paw to hopefully pull it out from beneath her or at least cause enough discomfort to push her back.
