one, two, he's coming for...gar?

They would soon expand into the willows. Because of this, Ghoul wanted to get a good understanding of the land around him. Heading east and slightly north, he navigates through the willows until they no longer appear. Standing just on the other side of the weeping branches, he can see a river and Veteran's Plateau just on the other side. An unusual land with items no one could ever put a real name to, but at least he was confident that no pack would move there either.

It's really the river that interested him the most. Approaching it carefully, he can feel the ground grow soft beneath him. The river is wide and slower paced than he expected. A vein of the river flows into the willows behind him where it grows shallow and spreads out in smaller creeks through the trees. Standing at the edge of the river's bank, he peers down into the water. Beneath the surface, he can see a bunch of sea grass and how deep it is. Some areas appeared deeper than he was tall. Definitely not an easy one to cross.

But then a gleam catches his attention. Both ears alert as he steps forward enough to be ankle deep in the water. A slow moving fish that is rather large moves by without so much as looking in his direction. Its long snout reminds him of his own caimans. A tilt of his head and now Ghoul wants to know what it is. But how was he to capture such a large beast?
