Calliope had been ready for a fight. The adrenaline was already surging through her veins as she tensed, waiting for the right moment. Somewhat hoping her mother won't catch the miniscule wolf, she lets out an excited yip, her tail wagging though it doesn't mean she's happy.

As soon as the boy evaded the capture of Modesty, Calliope dove off after him. Her eyes are wild with indescribable emotion as she churns sand behind her. Only one look is tossed at the leader of Ethne before her tongue is sticking out and then her focus is turned back on the boy.
