Make It Safe

Phobia wrinkled his nose as they drew close to their destination, the unfamiliar smell setting something deep and instinctual off in the boy. There was someone, something trespassing on his turf. He almost didn't believe his father had willingly brought him along. But somewhere in his mind he'd decided this was about making sure he could protect his sisters like his father seemed to want. Either way despite how territorial he was feeling Phobia's excitement to get to join his father in chasing the tiger off was evident. His paws were kneading the ground as his father tried to lay out how this would go down. "Got it!" He nodded enthusiastically, and in truth he was going to try to remember everything, no promises about once they were well and truly in the thick of it.

He suppressed his desire to go charging off, instead forcing himself to wait for his father to lead the way and he would make sure to carefully watch the King as they went.
