Tense. Coiled tightly. Björn's heart throbbing in his chest, though he wouldn't admit to it. Hell, could she hear it from where she perched? Björn's head spun. She's close. He'd wanted her right here, a breath away, so close he can damn near taste. Still does. Electricity coursing through his system, the boy can't help himself. Chest to chest, dripping wet, muddy... damn she's pretty. Too fucking pretty.

Björn doesn't balk, doesn't freeze. Meets the girl half way, reckless, bold. Even if he'd lost the fight, it seems he'd really won after all.

As quickly as she'd come on, the girl crashes to the sand beside him. Björn presses the top of his head against hers, subtly seeking her out. Contact. Just as breathless where he sprawls in the sand, a rakish smirk creeping across his lips. The boy's gaze alight, the worst kind of brilliant. "I would never," a dark chuckle still in the boy's throat. Brassy and brilliant, sprawled lazily in the pebbly sand as he reaches up to teasingly paw at her face. "Never underestimate a pretty girl who comes out of nowhere to try to beat me up."
