Twisting minds turned round and round as the window to the souls stood blank. The stillness was almost overwhelming as the past stung deep and the wounds still bleed. Unknown aromas shifted around a delicate nose, male, she was certain of it. so many had been coming home to what had once been proud and regal was now ashes and dreams gone wrong. She could stitch it back together but the imperfections would shine threw and she was content with that. It gave them all character. Violet eyes refocused, pushing away the silky smooth veil that had made them shine with death. Awoken from her mindless thoughts as duty called her into action. Swiftly and with ease the mammoth of a woman rose. Shifting her body in one smooth motion she shook her coat to release some of the lingering debris. Her ears twitched as she walked the path most known to her. The youths were wandering freely with their siblings and she was content they would be just fine in their elder siblings care. Her tail danced behind her as she made her way threw the rocky lands; her pads had already hardened to her new surroundings. Soon the sigh of ashes and darkness caught her attention but what was more breath taking was the eyes, so pink and alight with something fierce. He was much smaller then herself, a good 8 inches difference, and her violet eyes scanning him before her words broke free. ?Impatiens is a troubling companion. It eats at our bones and makes our skin crawl.? She said simply, no emotion present in her voice just simply starting conversation. Her tail flicked as she drew her monstrous size closer but she didn?t look down at him. Indeed her gaze was higher than his but the way she looked at them all, every one of them, was always with equality. She was never one for proper acknowledgement unless she had gained their favors. What was leadership if you couldn?t earn the right to have it? |
