He sighed heavily, feeling the tiredness from playing dad yet again. Why did he keep doing this to himself? Had he not learned the first two times? At least this time, he would try to do things right as much as he could, but with the chaotic life of the pack and his own internal demons, he wasn't sure he could do right by them no matter how hard he tried. On top of that, he was getting old. A fact he didn't really want to acknowledge nor face. But alas, it was time to face the music, because Gil came to meet him. The Crimson male looked at him, tiredness in his eyes after being up half the night with two kids that had fallen ill. "Thanks for meeting with me. I uh...I've got somethin' to tell you." He sat down as he looked about for a moment, making sure none of the kids had tailed him all the way here. He just wanted a moment of peace and quiet, dammit! Especially from Wade...that kid was...a whole other story. "So...I don't know if you've noticed or not...I know you've been busy, but it's only fair that I tell you." Normally, he wasn't the type to beat around the bush. But he was so tired these days that he could hardly think straight! "Anyway...I found some...pups...on the mainland...and now they're here. Four of them. Draven, Sulfur, Wade, and Kebak. I've been with them on the Archipelago. Couldn't leave them to die out there...I guess." There. He had said it. |
