Wendigo opened his eyes to slits to watch the young girl stomping and sliding over the dunes like a thundercloud. He could see the immediate change in her spotting him and veering towards him, and he chuckled under his breath. She squared up aggressively. A demand cracked out between them. Wendigo deliberately retained his lazy sprawl. Slowly, he opened his mismatched, strange-pupiled eyes to focus on her. Slowly, his mouth curved with a wicked smile that bared half his teeth. "Oh, your beach?" he said with mock innocence. He made a show of looking around it, then returned his gaze to her with that same sarcastic grin. "I don't see your name on it."
