Gavroche had decided that he was going to go gather some more of the winter plants he heard his mother talk about, and he had brought up the idea to his sister Vitani to get some aid. He had been given a new bag, since his last one was tossed on the Raider’s beach, and he trotted along ahead of his siblings with a happy hum. He was confident Tani would be able to keep up with him. “Mama said a plant called Thyme grows here. Good for colds, and err, achey muscles that are… in fire?”

So he hadn’t quite gotten the full meaning of what she meant when she was telling their dad that she wanted to get some more, but he was sure that Vitani would help him find it. If something was still growing in winter, then it was one of the only green plants here, right? He shivered a little. Brr, it was cold… “Ummm… I’m not really sure what it looks or smells like though. Is it one of the ones you’ve tried, Tani?”
