Poor, pathetic, stupid girl…
The vessel she inhabited had been slipping. Without Rivin’s flowers to hold her at bay, to weaken her influence over her mind, Caedes had been restrained. But the beast waited, lurking under her skin, waiting for the opportunity to arise once more. The girl had gotten so angry, so hurt at being removed from the damned pack that held her back. But now she was free, free of that bastard Raid King that helped Rivin stand against her. The girl would learn what power was, learn what she could do for this vessel, and where her weak heart belonged in this world. Not even that boy, that “dear” Calico Jack would save her… of this, Caedes felt certain.
When a call that was familiar to her vessel called, a wicked grin spread across the demon’s lips. Ahh, the father. Worried about his little girl? Too little, too late. Rivin had already become consumed by her emotions… The angrier and sadder she got, the more lost over the Raiders, the easier it was for Caedes to take control. And all it took was a little nudge, a seed of doubt that those in the pack never cared, that they turned their back on her, was all it took. Far, far too easy. But she figured she could honor him with her presence. She would saunter off, confidence radiating from her form.
She would find the red man alone within the mangrove, approaching him with the cold look of a predator approaching prey within her eyes. “Sorry ‘daddy’, your little girl is tucked away right now. Why don’t you try again later?” Her voice was a honeyed purr, dangerous as a viper’s venom. She had the power here, she knew it, straightening as she regarded him with a cocky smirk. “She’s pretty hurt, trying to change so much for them… only to be tossed aside when she didn’t agree~ Such a shame.” Laughter spilled from her maw. And not one of them stood up for her.
"Speech," 'Thought.'
