Well, now wasn't that a surprise? The howl that ran out, calling for the alpha of Ashen, was none other than Sirius. It was no secret that the Armada wolves didn't like him, but that sort of thing had never mattered to Chimera. It was funny though. He had no idea what he'd done to deserve their ire, but if they had enough energy to spend on disliking him, so be it.

The Ashen King finished the lesson that he'd been giving his daughter, sending one of the mastiffs ahead to inform the visitor that he was on his way. After instructing Selkie to head back and find her mother, Chimera set out to the border and the interesting meeting that was about to take place.

Sirius looked much the same except older and with more salt and pepper in his fur. He still had that expression on his face and Chi wondered if the frown lines were permanent. "Sirius," the black and white giant rumbled. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" It most likely wouldn't be a pleasure, but one could hope.
