race the tide

The tide was starting to roll in, the waves lapping over Ronan's paws as he stood on the land bridge. If he was quick he'd probably be able to beat the waves before they swallowed the Bifrost, saving him having to wait out the cycle and linger in Auster longer than he'd like. Not that he'd found anything terrible enough to make him to want to leave now but... He had his reasons, ones he wasn't quick to share.

Despite his bulk and bordering stupidly muscular build, he was a lot faster than he looked. He was confident he could make it if he pushed himself, but was it worth the effort?
