How scenic, Ronan thought as he observed the island ahead of him. Remaining firmly in amongst the waves, had waded in enough that he could stand, but not so much that he was straying anywhere he shouldn't. He could see where this place got its name, beyond the shadows of the forested inland of the island, the sand shimmered like liquid mercury. Gleaming and bright, outshining the moon on the otherwise clear night. Even the air was still, the only real movement was that of the waves as they gently rolled back and forth, stirring a scent of salt and faint seaweed. He inhaled a little deeper, picking up notes of something sweet, tropical fruit maybe? Or flowers, since it felt safe to assume the climate was temperate in these parts all year round. He doubted they ever saw snow here.
