Simply Unbearable

She was on her way for her seasonal visit to her parents grave. And against her better judgment, young Avalon had insisted on coming. The journey would be a little slower, but Claire didn't mind. As long as they made it there and back safely, all would be well. She had the capability of protecting herself and her daughter, and that would be put to the test today, apparently. As the pair neared the Bifrost, she slowed down as she scented the air. Her hackles rose, a low growl in her throat as she sensed what was up ahead. One ear turned to Avalon as she asked what was the matter, and although she didn't want to put her in any danger, they needed to cross to get to where they were going. "There is a bear up ahead. Stay behind me." She instructed as they continued their path forward.

As they got further onto the Bifrost, she could see the bear up ahead. At least it seemed to be heading in the same direction, so hopefully it would ignore the pair and they could cross in peace. But the more they went, she realized there was another scent in the air intermixed with that of the salty sea. There was another wolf...Hallows...but she wasn't sure who. She checked behind her, but saw nobody else there. Were they up ahead? As the bear continued forward and uttered a low growl, Claire realized that whoever it was, was on the other side of the bear. Perhaps trying to get back home. Well, it seemed like she might have no choice but to fight after all. She quickened her pace, barking at the bear in an effort to catch its attention so that the other wolf could get by it. The bear turned its attention toward her then, swinging its massive head toward the she-wolf and her pup. It was caught between both sides now, and it didn't appear to be in a good mood.
