Phobia assured his father that he understood the rules and, taking the boy at his word, Chimera nodded and began moving towards the sound of chuffing and growling. Was it big dumb cat mating season or something? What a fuss the feline was making. As luck would have it, the cat found them rather than the other way around.

The tiger jumped from the foliage, all snarls and hissing. Chimera bristled and snarled in return, rushing towards the cat. The pair collided and claws sank into the wolf's shoulders. Chi bit into the side of the cat's face, rows of razor sharp teeth shredding the delicate flesh. The cat yowled and tried to pull back, but Chimera refused to let go.
