Yarra grins, relishing Ely's hiss of pain. she swallows a mouthful of blood, lapping up the taste, heat licking up her veins in the aftermath of battle. "well-fought, cousin. you might actually prove useful after all." she snickers to herself, watching Ely's retreat with deep satisfaction. and yet, it's as though something has...shifted between them. there's a newfound sense of respect for the woman, an acknowledgement of their skills. yes, Yarra thinks to herself, there's indeed something salvageable here.
