Surprised that the other man even knew how to count, he was careful to watch what his moves were. While his own teeth still wrangled with the writhing paw and leg of the massive lizard, Idris sees how the stranger stomps down on the lizard's neck. Surprise hits him again as the lizard refuses to hit the ground, its tongue flicking out and a loud hiss in retaliation as its head reaches back for the stranger. But with its one arm sufficiently unusable by his own teeth, he sees the man scoot farther down, out of the way of razor sharp teeth. It was now or never, Idris knew that. Quickly, he releases the arm and lunges forward at the lizard's neck. His own front paws reach over its head and press down on its neck where the other man had been a moment prior. With the weight of both wolves atop of it now, it had no choice but to flatten itself with all four limbs spread out in the sand. With it writhing and wiggling, lashing its heavy tail, they didn't have much more time. "Try to," Idris grunts as the dragon attempts to stand back up, "sever the spine," he spits out, pushing back against the reptile, "in case I can't get it's head," another grunt as he pushes back against the strength of the scaly devil. In the next moment, his head reaches down, jaws encasing around the dragon's neck and clamping down as hard as he can. An attempt to get through scales and thick skin meant he might not possibly be able to kill the thing. |
