With the dragon twitching and incapacitated, Idris steps off. His breath is labored, tongue hanging out, blood covering his lips. He can tell his muscles are sore from the effort, but his brain is still alight with paranoia. There was still the stranger to deal with now. Automatically, his paws take him a few steps backward, away from the man, grey eyes placed cautiously, always watching. Would the man attempt to take his beach bird? Or was simply "there at the right time"? Idris wasn't sure, but he wasn't going to go straight for his beach bird either. No, it would be smarter to linger, look for some flora first. Continue watching the stranger in case he made a stupid move at him. Clearing his throat, he moves toward the brush where he sees a familiar flower growing from the soft, loamy sand. "You from around here?" Idris calls out to the vibrant red and deep blue man, rough tones sounding drier than usual. Keeping himself perpendicular to the man so he could continue keeping an eye on him, he sticks his nose closer to the purple and pink flower to get a good whiff of it. |
