Do hyenas really laugh?

Lingering in one of the dryer territories near the moor, Rhazien was on the hunt for knowledge. Surely, there had to be packs hiding in the western territories, and he found it odd he hadn’t run into one just yet. Perhaps they were withdrawn and illusive. And so, he decided the best way to break that knowledge barrier, was to go off and explore the lands of the west- even if most of them were desolate, desert wastelands.  

Padding across the sands, Rhazien was careful with each step he took, knowing desert regions harbored plenty of venomous creatures laying in wait for a victim. And as he came around a bend, he was met with an unforeseen opportunity- a small group of hyenas lazing around beneath the shade of a tall shrub brush, their bellies full on a recent meal. Rhazien had two options now- antagonize the group, or turn and walk away. But the latter sounded like much more fun. Bristling his pelt and snarling, he challenged the group, intimating the dance of battle as he sought to run them off just for fun.
