It didn’t surprise him that he found her here. Lately, the beach seemed to be her go to place for some peace and quiet and calm night air. He understood all too well what she was looking for. “What a day” he said, “What a day.” He sighed, and slumped down on the sand. Leaning against the red toned wolf a little as he did so. He reached over, plucking the alcohol from her paws and took a deep gulp before tucking it into the sand between them.

This was what he wanted, just him and Hazel. “I’ve decided to let them go without making them fight for it. Unless you disagree. They’ll be a hindrance in the pack, and this way I won’t have to worry about them causing trouble in the ranks.” It burned a little. They were family, and they had abandoned him at the drop of a hat. They’d walked away, and caused trouble doing so. It was Azure all over again, though not as bad as his fathers leaving. Or the reason he stayed away.
