Alias Island was supposed to be a safe haven. After all, it was a well guarded island. Yet somehow, the stench of grizzly bear greeted Alastor's nose first thing that morning when he'd stepped outside the den, the pungent stink wafting on the air from somewhere nearby in the mountains. Ebony eyes narrowed into deadly points. They had gone through painstaking measures to remove all predators from the island already. Damned bears never learned their lesson... For gods' sakes, there were pups on the island! Oh well, guess he was getting some exercise this morning!
Stalking along the mountain paths, Alastor followed the grizzly's trail until he tracked the damned thing down to a cave in the mountains. Most likely preparing for hibernation. Well, if it thought it was going to crash in his family's home for the duration of winter, it had another thing coming. Sharp fangs bared, Alastor silently crept into the cave, slinking deeper into the dark until the heavy sounds of snoring could be heard. He found the bear sound asleep at the back of the cave, a small collection of food around it. It was bulking up for the winter! Well, no more! As silent as the breeze, Alastor lunged for the bear, leaping onto its back with a snarl and sinking his razor sharp siam claws into its thick hide and fangs into its scruff, biting through fur and fat. The bear bellowed in panic and pain as it jolted awake, trying to stand with the weight of a dire wolf on its back as it flailed to attempt to dislodge the brute from his assault.
