King of the hill

Alastor growled and snarled as he clung onto the back of the bear, holding on to prevent himself from being bucked off. It was just like a thrill ride! Grinning widely to himself with manic glee, Alastor continued to rip at the bear's scruff, spurts of blood coating his fangs and tongue as he finally ripped through the fat to the soft sinew underneath. The bear bellowed in pain—and then began to rear up as another series of growls started below. Alastor lifted his head and glanced down, spotting the crimson and black form of his son aiding him in the fight. Well well, this was a pleasant turn of events! It had been quite some time since Alastor had gotten to spill any blood with his eldest son, but he certainly wasn't going to shy away from the chance to do so now!

Grinning a wide, bloodstained smile, Alastor kicked off of the bear's back and landed just behind the giant beast, watching as it reared up on its hind legs. That was when the dire brute struck, lunging in at the bear's hinds and sinking his fangs into the tendons of its rear legs, tugging with all his might to topple the bear. The grizzly was a massive beast though, and it was refusing to go down easy.
