She had always known that one day this would happen. One day someone would call for her, want her throne, want her pack. Alena knew that she had not fought for her position exactly, but she felt that she had earned it. She had finally gotten comfortable in her new position, finally gotten used to the feeling of being responsible for other lives and her home. And now someone's howl rang across the land from the battlefield, summoning her for a challenge. Her heart thudded in her chest as she glanced to her pups and Dempsey, her constant companions as of late. She rose to her paws, giving each of her five children a quick lick to their foreheads and a kiss to Dempsey's cheek before turning toward the summons and racing off to meet her challenger. She didn't want to keep them waiting, after all.

She approached the lands of the battle field with a mix of excitement and a tense stress. Excitement for the battle that would soon take place, stress from the thought of possibly losing her pack. She didn't want to let her family or Medusa down. "Medusa." The ebony fea had entrusted Alena with the safety of Amenti and the last thing Alena wanted to do is disappoint the former Madame.

Luckily, Alena had been working to tone her body back to the state it had been before she had gotten pregnant. Her muscles once again rippled under her thick ivory coat, her amethyst eyes gleaming with intelligence and challenge, paw steps nearly silent as she slowed to an easy walk. She held herself calmly, but still showed the confidence of an alpha in her stance. She spotted the lady she had come to know as Canttina, complete with the wolf skull that adorned her face. This was certainly a surprise to the ivory assassin.

Alena approached her, stopping several feet away. "Well, well. Hello again, Canttina. Was it your howl that I heard summoning me here? You wish to challenge for my pack?" Alena's ears remained turned forward attentively, watching the strange she-wolf closely.
