The woman’s way of speaking and addressing him was different from what Gavroche was used to, but it wasn’t bad! He figured her name was Medusa and, at her question, the winged yearling stuck out his tongue teasingly. “IF you win, I’ll give you two feathers!” His feathers were special, and he considered them more a gift for friends, but he supposed it couldn’t hurt to bet a couple on the fight. So long as he didn’t give her the same colors he gave to Dusk, which was the most special, then he could give her some feathers too! But Medusa was cool! She had a whole skull on her head and seemed kind of spooky! What pack was she part of? He tossed up his defenses in anticipation, his tail giving a slight wag as he waited for her to begin. The woman moved to pounce on him and, rather than give her the satisfaction, the boy sought to slip up under her larger frame. His size was his boon and his curse, and he felt paws graze past his rump in his effort. Gavroche wasn’t trying to stay directly under Medusa, however. The winged yearling sought to quickly turn and loop under her around her right foreleg. Aiming to position himself under her right armpit, Gavroche attempted to lunge from the ground and twist his body toward the back of her leg. Forelegs would reach outward, trying to grab onto her limb with his dexterous digits and hold on. At the same time his jaws would move toward the limb as well, attempting to reach for the softer flesh in the back and clamp down on it. He was small, but given the chance he could be a real pain! Dawn, his Scottish fold kitten, was focused on the larger cat and keeping it away from the combatants. She spat and swiped, while Arachne, the spider monkey, attempted to distract the wolverine. It left one companion unaccounted for, but given where Gavroche was at the moment it hopefully wouldn’t be a problem. "Speech," 'Thought.'
