She was free. Quickly, Morwenna slipped from under the Leader and doubled back to her initial escape route, the kite no longer blocking the glass. Grabbing her bag of herbs, she elegantly dove over the banister and hit the sloping glass windows, she gritted her teeth as she heard the creaking and cracking behind her from the ancient windows as she slid down.
One last leap to the ground and behind her the glass shattered but remained in place in the building. This time she didn't hesitate, she didn't glance back, the wolfdog flew like the wind and hit the water, swimming as fast as she could until she got to the other shore, disappearing into the woods.
