He had gone out for what was only supposed to be a trip for some ingredients to make dinner tonight when the sound of a scuffle could be heard. He raised his head, pausing from the digging he was doing as he listened. It sounded like the growls of another wolf and the familiar snarls of a mountain lion. He supposed it wasn't odd at all that one would be encountered this time of year, after all, Winter was approaching and everyone was trying to get their fill before prey became scarce. He had half a mind to ignore it and continue on his way, but a what if gave him thought. If a cougar was this close to Armada lands...who was to say it wouldn't cross the border in search of the packs food to steal? It would be dumb to try with so many wolves, but he knew desperate times called for desperate measures.

It was his duty to make sure the beast didn't even try it. Abandoning his task, Grimoire lumbered his way to the commotion, arriving to find a rogue facing off with the feline. Without hesitation, Grimoire charged, claws tearing at the earth as his head lowered, horns aiming to stab the beasts shoulder while the rogue had him by the back end. The cougar, occupied with its first attacker, didn't quite see Grimoire in time before his horn pierced its shoulder, causing it to yowl in pain as it twisted to swipe at him, catching Grimoire's shoulder in a swipe of claws as he sped past.
