A river flowing through the land, cutting through like a scar. A deep gash, but one that he's familiar with. The curves of it, the way it flows and plays... he knows this river. Raw autumn day clinging to his sides along with the chill, Ivy walks the bank carefully. Tense. It's quiet, relatively so at least. It's too cold and too damp to make for attractive swimming weather.
Truthfully, Ivy doesn't know what he was looking for out here. He doesn't know what he was hoping to find. Some sign that they really had been here? Anything familiar, anything... anything that was left? He knows the river. He's walked these banks. It's all familiar, but there's nothing left. With an ache blooming in his chest, Ivy peers out over the river.
