A slip of the paw, but not of his own, decided the outcome of the fight. The grappling wolves fought against one another's strength to the bitter end, but in the end Artorias had better leverage over Víðarr's body, and with a smooth yank, he pulled the viking king off his feet and brought him to the ground. The Lord of Cinder was atop of him immediately, pinning his defeated opponent down with strong paws to the chest and sternum, looming over him with a triumphant grin and fire smoldering in his eyes. Víðarr had put up an excellent fight and rejuvenated some of the Lord's spirit! "Better luck next time, friend," he bantered playfully with his fellow alpha, stepping off his prone body so Víðarr could get back up and see himself off to the sidelines. Regardless of who won, the Hallows had prepared an enjoyable meal for the combatants at the end. Heiðinn was still their guests and friends, after all!

With one alpha down, Artorias turned his attention over to the lady of the mountains who had been watching her husband as Art had taken him down, shooting a playful grin at Tenshi with a challenging gleam in his fire-kissed eyes. "Care to dance, Tenshi?" He chuckled, teasing her as he stepped up to face off against the queen of Heiðinn. Artorias gave a shake of his coat to unruffle his fur where Víðarr had grabbed at it, then set his defenses, paws squared and muscles tensed. Once she was ready (because he was still a gentleman even in combat), Artorias opened their fight much the same as he did with Víðarr, charging for his opponent. However, this time he had a trick up his sleeve—using his nimble footwork, Artorias feigned a dip to the left only to sidestep right, aiming to place himself at Tenshi's side as he lunged for her, paws outstretched and seeking to wrap around her midsection so he might grapple with her if they collided.
