She smelled the joke a moment later and emerald eyes went wide. Bowen didn't lose her hold on the tail, but she did try harder to swing around and get herself away from it. This proved to be terribly difficult as she also began giggling.

As they spun, both wolves barely in the fight as they dissolved into fits of laughter, Bowen heard the patchwork boy manage to squeak out an apology. That was it. She couldn't hold on anymore. Laughter exploded from Bowen and she had no choice but to let go of the boy's tail. He swatted at her half-heartedly and she returned the swat, though it wasn't very well aimed as she couldn't see through the tears of her laughter.
