the way we stalk, the way we kiss

Emotions raw, adrenaline coursing through her system, Jael wouldn't let panic take hold. She wouldn't let herself freeze up, not yet. Not yet. Chasing any resounding trembling from her knees, from her bones, she surges forward. Feeling the hum of the woman's blade as it slices through the air, Jael's eyes go wide. Too close for comfort.

The closer she got, the less effective the blade would be. Gathering herself over her paws, pushing hard off the ground. Jael strikes with as much force as she can muster, moving to grab hold at the formidable woman's neck. Forcing herself forward, savage in the moment. It's the best she can do, for now.
