Scald isn't left to his stealthy tactic for long. A few minutes later, as he attempts to sweep around the group and move farther into Valta territory, a man a few inches taller than himself greets him. Grinning back at the grey and blond fanged man, Scald gives him a shrug. "I wouldn'ta been in such a rush if I'da known such a handsome fella was gonna meet me," he teases back as his opponent rears up and lunges for his shoulders. "Coulda least taken me out to eat first!" Scald quips as Arcturus' front legs wrap around his shoulders. In response, he flares the quills that line along his back and hope a few of them catch the man's larger paws. Bracing against the heavier weight, Scald pushes forward, digging his own paws into the ground beneath him. Feeling the rip of fangs through his scruff, Scald retaliates by twisting his head around the other side and aiming to grab ahold of Arcturus' shoulder or lower neck, whatever he could reach with the lower position he was in.
