Basilisk would begin. Charlie kept himself ready, his defenses set and gaze focused on his opponent. As his opponent charged forward, the wolf felt his hackles raise. Just like facing any other opponent, the tawny wolf wasn’t going to back down! He met the charge with his own, tossing his shoulder forward as Bas did. Their bodies connected with force, no doubt the sort that would leave some bruising. Heavens above though, Basilisk towered over him! It was one thing to look at his nephew from afar but truly Basilisk was humongous… a tower above even the dire wolves of Ardent. His claws dug into the soil for traction as Charlie pushed against the ground and pushed into his nephew, not willing to give an inch as he tossed her head up to grab at the flesh just above Basilisk’s belly. He was aiming to bite onto the flesh, a pinch in the hopes that it might be enough to distract Bas from whatever attack he was going for. But how well trained was his nephew in resisting acute pain to follow through with his own attacks?
