As they came in close to one another, the brute reacted similarly with skill and eagerness. Something within Kaino sang and she couldn't help but smile a bit as they inflicted mutual pain upon one another. He'd barreled towards her at the last moment but Kai held her own, planting hind paws. She skidded a bit due to his superior weight, but she didn't fall.

Her teeth bit into his neck and she pushed forward, keeping her face from the worst of his bite simply by getting closer. Beneath her, she could feel the graze of claws and she turned her own wrist, replying in kind by flexing that wrist to potentially slice her own clawed weapon across the tender flesh where elbow connected to the barrel of his body. They'd both come a way bloodied most likely, but that was the name of the game and Kai wouldn't hold it against him.
