THe cougar’s attention was firmly on him now. He wasn’t sure why it was so aggressive, so hell bent on fighting the wolves, but it was clear it wasn’t going to go down easily. Perhaps it had some pups in the area to protect. But whatever the reason, he didn’t care. His blood was up now, and the beast had marked itself his enemy.

When the stranger grabbed at its back leg, he leaped forward. Mindful of its teeth as its head snaked at him. He bopped it on the snout with metal claws, keeping it from reaching back and attacking the tall dark wolf as she worked to maim it.
