Gonna Catch a Big One

The grass sways overhead as Malico slips through the land, lithe body subtly pushing aside the stalks so as not to alert the prey to the presence of the predators. As the grass thins and the leg-legged creatures come into view, the young Mendacium man quickly scans the giraffes for their weakest link. There is a female, among their ranks, who seems to be injured and he decides that must be their target.

However, before he can look to their leader for a clue, the young woman is off and running into the herd with the other man of the group not too far behind. Never one to be left out, Mal takes off and delves into the midst of the panicking animals. Snarls and growls fill the air and he raises his voice to entwine with the others. Hooves thunder as the creature’s scatter, dirt filling the air and raining down on his purple coat as he dodges his way to where the others are.

As a group, they surround the giraffe and slowly begin to push it toward where the huge feline waits, keeping clear of flailing hooves as they go.
