Gonna Catch a Big One

Sinking down into the underbrush, Azoula blended into the savannah effortlessly with her tawny-hued coat. Those large, saucer-shaped ears swiveled forward, pupils narrowed to slits as she peered out into the clearing. The injured giraffe must have been their target; Azoula could see the inflamed leg even from a distance, noticing the limb in its gait as he moved between trees to graze.

Kaino was the first to initiate the chase, leading the other wolves forward, as she continued in her role as ringleader. The giraffes scattered, leaving the injured one behind. Kaino and her group separated it, and herded it towards the two felines laying in wait.
