Alaric noticed the horn aim for his paw almost immediately. It was a hard move to miss and out of instinct, he yanked his paw back safely out of the way. This time, the horn had completely missed his paw by mere inches. Quickly he set the paw down and tried to restablize himself. Now Alaric's orange eyes narrowed and he sought the scruff of the female. His black maws splayed open and attempted to grab the back of her scruff. Bellatrix was so tiny compared to him that it was within his grasp, even if he had to cock his head downwards in a slightly awkward position to grasp it.

However, this attack was shortly met with the slamming of Bellatrix's small body into his. She was trying to use her size to her advantage and trip him over. His ears perked to hear the sound of hooves, that damned reindeer was charging. His gaze shifted briefly to the reindeer and then to her. Fuck it. He decided he would fall backwards, but in the process he would try to take Bellatrix with him. His forearms wrapped around her and he attempted to pull her back with him as his body rolled backwards onto his spine. His plan was to use her as a living shield so to speak. Her tiny body was perfect for protecting more vital organs such as the stomach from being gored by the antlers. He thought this move might make the reindeer call the bluff and stop the charge altogether, resulting in no one getting hurt.
