Gonna Catch a Big One

With half of the group on the tail of the injured giraffe, Kaino felt the confidence that came with camaraderie. She knew that the strength of the group was behind her and so she continued to fly across the savannah, hot on the heels of her quarry. The group managed to turn the giraffe and angle its flight towards the awaiting cats. A grin split Kai's face as she noted the gleaming sets of eyes between the tall blades.

When the awaiting hunters attacked, the giraffe let out a terrified bellow. It tried to skid to a halt but it was too late. The weight of the felines that had leaped upon it pulled the beast down. Avoiding the flailing legs, Kaino made her way for the throat of the beast. Slamming her body down atop its head, she locked her jaws around the giraffe's windpipe right behind its jaw. It was no easy task and she hoped that the others might use their weight to pin its neck to the ground as well. There was more than enough room for everyone to bite.

In the end, their efforts paid off. The giraffe was dead, the group was satisfied and full and Kaino would get that sweet, sweet skin. Great success.
