The interaction between the falcon and snake were moot and soon the pair of wolves were locked in combat. She would not let go of his face even when the blood filled her mouth and dripped downward onto the ground between them. It would be better to keep him as close as she could manage.

As the colorful brute wraps his forelegs around her shoulders, Aslatiel's wrists turn. Both paws slide along the wide ribcage of the man. As he rises up on hind paws, the skin over his ribs stretches, becoming thinner still. Just as he's pushing Asla backwards, sharpened cat claws shoot out of Asla's paws and she rakes downward with both sets, her intention to leave big, nasty gouges in flesh and muscle. Both sides of the man's ribs would hold her calling card. He would remember her for the rest of his life.
