it’s not rare the find the Viking boy trekking through the area, brow furrowed as he navigates the leaf-littered earth. with winter just around the corner, ice threatens to settle along every tree branch and stump, adding a tremulous uncertainty to every step. trekking through the undergrowth, Styrmir lifts his head and sniffs the air, frowning at the foreign scent that touches his nose. hackles rising, he slinks forward with mounting suspicion, thinking only of his family and their subsequent safety. no matter the detriment to his own health, he won’t let anyone threaten their safety. he’d sooner die.
