Dominus

Big, busy, brawny, for a boy of his age. Dominus is all of those things, perhaps unfortunately for everyone around him. Imitating the things he saw his father doing, walking the paths that the patrols took, pretending to be just like the adults. For as much pretending as he was doing, maybe it's not all pretend. The boy's senses are keen, and he should deter at least some predators... right?

An osprey chancing a landing among the pine trees-- a perfect challenge. Dom's eyes alight, he can't help himself. A great bout of noise, barking and snarling, erupts as he throws himself after it. Shattering the serenity of the afternoon with all the excitement he can. The bird isn't on the ground for long, taking one look at the boy, deciding that it really isn't worth it to stick around.

After running full tilt at the raptor, he's admittedly winded. Crashing against a nearby tree with a heavy lean, laughing at the spectacle he'd managed to cause, Dominus catches his breath.
