No Safe Spaces

Hisses and snarls filled the air as feline and canine battled it out. A big, clawed paw swiped out at Sid and she skittered back, barely missing it. The tiger began to move forward and, thankfully, rescue came from behind. A big, marbled wolf slammed into the cat, making it stumble further into the muck. One hind leg, but only that one. The tiger's claws dug into the dry pathway, keeping it from falling all the way in. Damn.

Sid thought for a long moment, then skirted around the pit, keeping out of the cat's line of sight as it turned to face what it believed was the larger threat. As it did so, Siduri took a big bite of the cat's tail. With all of her might, she ran towards the pit of bubbling muck, being sure to keep herself on the dry path, but hopefully dragging the tiger to its sticky death.
