Go the Distance

To his surprise, Wyl accepted his challenge. He turned back to focus more on running, a single ear turning back to catch the directions his friend was thankfully shouting at him. His little paws thundered against the ground and he ran with all his might, hoping his smaller size would help him in the turns. Wyl's strides were huge so he would need to rely on every little trick. He raced down the path they had previously ascended, listening as Wyl shouted to turn left. He laughed gleefully as he zipped around, dull claws fighting to find purchase.

It was this next bit that would be the decider. He focused ahead, willed his legs to go faster and faster, lungs starting to burn as they raced through the market. He was so close... But so far away!
