The snarls and yelps from Enki's side did little to distract Cadaver from his own singular pursuit. The sleek, muscular form of the larger coyote held his undivided attention. With a guttural snarl, their clash was swift - his raw strength against the veteran wilderness smarts of the coyote.

The coyote was swift, darting just quick enough to avoid the worst of Cadaver’s lunges. Nevertheless, the dire-sized pup’s size and strength were not to be underestimated. He clipped the creature’s hind leg in one lunge, eliciting a yelp. The coyote retaliated with a fierce bite to Cadaver's shoulder, but the young wolf merely snarled, his gleaming eyes reflecting a chilling disregard for pain. With a snarl of rage, Cadaver leapt onto the coyote's back, catching it just as it was turning to face him again. His jaws closed around its neck, crushing bone and sinew with one powerful crunch. Lifting it partially off the ground, Cadaver shook it violently like a rag doll before hurling its limp form away from him. The acrid taste of blood and fur-coated his mouth, but it did nothing to quell the battle hunger in his eyes. Instead, it fanned the growing flame into a roaring inferno.

His gaze swept around for his next opponent, any semblance of innocence long since replaced by a cruel satisfaction. A reckless thrill coursed through his veins, punctuating every heartbeat with the savage rhythm of the hunt.
