To fight beside you

Wylan grinned cheekily at his brother. “How did Bas like being the damsel?” He asked, knowing that with Ollie only recently over his weakness, getting to be the hero had to be a nice change. But that was all the time for jokes he had. Their father, who was taking this a lot more seriously, was charging. Wylan watched with open mouthed wonder as his father used his wings with a great deal more efficiency. Slicing at the bears cheeks with something he always considered so soft and gentle.

Closing his mouth, Wylan shook off his surprise and charged down the side of the bear. Raising a paw, he racked it down the bear’s side. Attempting to do some damage and distract it from their father.
