To fight beside you

Wylan drew blood along the bear's side, but quickly realised that Ollie was doing more damage to its softer parts. Copying his brother he went for the belly, hitting the same spot Ollie had so he could enlarge the cut. He extended his claws trying to maximise the damage, and it was already bleeding quickly. Wylan considered the wound with a healer's eye and knew that no matter what, it wasn’t going to shake this one off. They just needed the bear to realise that before it hurt one of them.

As their father wrestled with the large creature, Wylan swiped at the cut one last time, looking for the tender inner parts he knew where up there somewhere.
