Basilisk's heavy tread was slow and meticulous as he reached into the Syndicate territory and broke his charging momentum. Here was his chance to earn their leaders respect. Whether he would use that respect to garner an alliance between their packs or spark fear in the defence of his allies would depend entirely upon this pack. He didn't know what the future would hold for either of them, but this moment mattered. He felt it in his bones

His eyes found the purple brute at last, and he knew he had found the leader of the Syndicate. There was easily a ten inch difference in their heights as Basilisk trotted forward. Meeting Sephiran’s attack as the other wolf lunged for him. Basilisk let the other wolf bring the battle into close range. Giving him the shot on his shoulder in order to bring the other wolf close enough. He raised a forepaw and hooked it forward. Attempting to bring it behind the shorter wolf and jerk back towards himself in order to hook the tender joint where his leg met shoulder onto his leg spikes. In the same instance he lowered his head and attempted to grip his elongated fangs into the other wolfs scruff behind their ear.
